The unpretentious, flowing glaze characteristic of Mashiko ware is its charm. It was previously used as a water receiver for a large plant pot. I washed it, but when it dries, a whitish substance, likely water stains, appears around the center. This disappears with dishes containing liquid. If displaying it, applying a thin layer of salad oil will also make it disappear. It might be possible to remove it with a water stain remover or other chemicals. Due to these circumstances, I am offering it at a reduced price. There are also kiln marks, pinholes, and other imperfections inherent in handmade items.
