Mishima Taisha Shrine This is the strongest power spot in Izu, as Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for the revival of the Minamoto clan and achieved it. The pure grounds, through which underground water from Mt. Fuji flows, are dotted with the "Koshikake-ishi" (sitting stone) associated with Yoritomo and Masako, and the "Tatari-ishi" (cursed stone) which possesses powerful energy. It is a prestigious ancient shrine, also famous for its cherry blossoms and fragrant osmanthus.
