I bought these for my child, but they outgrew them without using them. I intended for them to be used, so I've removed the tags. The soles may have some dirt, as they were stored in a shoe closet. (Many shoes in stores have this from being tried on.) There are some areas that appear whitish. I'm not sure if this was from the beginning, from rubbing against something, or just dirt. Since it's on the soles, it doesn't bother me at all.
