Lightweight aluminum (658g total), and above all, it has excellent thermal conductivity. I bought it about 28 years ago. The largest pot and frying pan show signs of use, but everything is very clean. They have been washed (including the bags). The frying pan has a non-stick coating. The square shape also made it easy to pack. It's still usable. Take this opportunity to get it.
