I attached fur to a handmade Minnie Mouse skirt with double-sided tape. It's perfect for Christmas Disney and so cute! The fur was attached by an amateur, so it's attached well enough that it won't come off, but the seams are like the third picture. If you're concerned, you can sew it or use double-sided tape to secure it. It's not noticeable when wearing it.
