I bought this about two years ago and used it for my daily commute. I used it with a strap, as I commute by car. I work at a desk and didn't take it out of the bag, so I only used it during my commute. There are scratches, but I don't think there's any dirt. I used a bag-in-bag, so the inside is relatively clean. There are many small scratches. The large vertical and horizontal stripes were there from when I bought it. They are not scratches. To reiterate, there are scratches. I think you can still use it, but please check the photos and only purchase if you understand. This is a one-owner item that I purchased. It's size M.
