This is a Russian craft item purchased in Moscow over 25 years ago. I had it on display for a while, but I put it away in its box when I organized my shelves some time ago. Size (approx.): 7cm (height) x 13cm (width) x 3cm (depth) Mstera is a Russian town south of Palekh, known for Palekh lacquer painting. The title of the work is written on the top of the piece ("Departure to ??"). The MCTEPA written on the lower left seems to refer to a Russian lacquered black box, like this item. On the lower right, it appears to say "Original artist: ГОРБУНОВА (Gorbunova)". There is a paper that seems to be an instruction manual. It seems to be about the lacquer miniature work "Mstera". The paper, which appears to be a certificate, says "Certificate number 391/95". It also seems to say, "This item is the last copy, limitedly authorized by the original artist (I believe it's Gorbunova)." (This may be incorrect) I am also listing other Russian craft items. Thank you. #CBKarelRussianCrafts #RussianCraft #FineArt #Antique #Vintage #Retro #Russia #RussianGoods #Christianity #RussianOrthodox #PalekhLacquer #Lacquered #WoodenBox #SmallBox #SmallCase #Ornament #Object #Interior #InteriorGoods
