This is a US ARMY M-1943 late-type shirt jacket from the war period, also known as the 3rd type. It's made of herringbone weave and the color has been changed to a darker OD No. 7 compared to the previous jackets. Metal buttons are still present on the underside of the collar. The buttons have been changed to an assortment, and a game pocket has been added at the waist. Perhaps it was customized for hunting?
