Originally developed for winter work on ships and in ports, it offers top-class cold protection. As a classic, it's versatile in styling; pair it with chinos or painter pants for a classic work style, or with slacks or white pants for a clean look. Of course, it also goes great with jeans. The shell uses a special fabric developed to replicate the N-1. The jungle cloth, with different thicknesses of warp and weft threads, is a deck jacket fabric that enhances wind and water resistance. Despite not being water-repellent, its high density repels a little water. It's also durable and the aging process of the fabric is interesting. The lining, which affects warmth and comfort, uses a high-grade 50:50 alpaca/wool blend. The texture, feel, and warmth are all of excellent quality, surpassing basic grade reproductions that use acrylic only or linings with a low alpaca content! Carefully made one by one by skilled Japanese staff in a domestic factory, thorough quality control is implemented from fabric cutting to sewing, and the attachment of parts such as buttons and zippers, so you can wear it with confidence. The TALON zipper also replicates the shape of the time. This later model features a U-shaped stop detail and a fan-shaped pull tab.
