Tokiemon, whose life philosophy was "to make a single tsumugi my life," spent over seventy years with Oshima Tsumugi. He left behind numerous masterpieces. In 1973, he launched the "Tokiemon" brand, which has been loved by many people. In 1994, "Hyakuju" (Hundred Years) crossed the sea and was stored in the British Victoria and Albert Museum, becoming internationally recognized as a work of art. This is a top-of-the-line Oshima Tsumugi, highly regarded both overseas and in Japan, by Tokiemon. Tokiemon's Oshima Tsumugi has exceptionally fine threads compared to other Oshimas.
