This is a handmade wooden tip case crafted by a woodworker who loves smelt fishing. The material is cedar, and to highlight the wood grain, it has been subjected to u-zukuri (wood grain raising) processing to create unevenness in the grain. It has been dyed with a furniture dye and finished with two coats of urethane. The size is approximately 430mm x 93mm x 32mm and is designed to fit in a 45cm bucket. It can store a total of 20 tips, 10 on each side.
