ÑANDUTI is a needle lace that is woven in perfect radial circles on a square frame. The weaving method is inspired by the interwoven sun rings unique to the island of Tenerife, Spain, and was passed down to the indigenous people of Paraguay. The origin of Ñanduti, which means "spiderweb lace" in Guarani, one of the official languages, comes from this.
