This is a pre-painted finished product of the Curtiss P-36 (Hawk) and Curtiss P-40 (Warhawk) fighter aircraft operated by the U.S. Army Air Forces in the early stages of World War II. (Please note that this is not a complete product, as the decals cannot be used!) The scale is 1/72. The Hawk is made by Aoshima Bunka Kyozai, and the Warhawk is made by Hasegawa. These are quite old kits. ※The Hawk is the same as the one listed as a single item. Please see the single item page for details! Basically, they are straight builds, all brush-painted. Both aircraft are in the standard colors of the U.S. Army Air Forces from the early to mid-stages of World War II. The decals had yellowed due to aging, so they were finished using separately sold decals. They were made in a flight state. Please note that the landing gear is glued in place. ⭐︎Please check the photos carefully for accessories, etc. The "P-36 Hawk" was a single-engine, single-seat fighter aircraft equipped with an air-cooled engine, developed by Curtiss. Based on this aircraft, the engine was replaced with a liquid-cooled engine, and various parts were updated, resulting in the famous "P-40 Warhawk" series, which is a masterpiece. In the early stages of the Pacific War, the "Hawk" and "Warhawk" fought against the Japanese military many times. It is said that Japanese pilots were wary of the "Hawk," which demonstrated more nimble maneuverability than the "Warhawk." The "Warhawk" in particular has a strong image of being a "loser" for the Japanese military, but it was always available in the necessary numbers on the front lines, and its operational rate was also high, making it a "successful weapon" without any complaints. This product reproduces: ・The "Hawk" of the "G type," an armed reinforcement type, equipped with two 12.7mm machine guns in the nose and four 7.7mm machine guns in the wings. ・The "Warhawk" of the "N type," the most produced type, with a revised canopy shape and an extended fuselage compared to the conventional type.
