I purchased this from an antique shop about 15 years ago. The owner was a young person, and it was a wonderful shop, but unfortunately, it closed down quite a while ago. At the time, I was interested in religious antiques and collected them. I was drawn to the brass statue of Mary, and I bought it because of its beautiful, fine details. I am selling it now as part of a decluttering effort. I will also set the price low. The face is beautiful, and although it is small, it has a presence and I think the dignified standing pose is lovely. I love this statue of Mary!
