He started his career at Lundberg Studios in Davenport, California in 1972. He utilized new techniques in glass decoration and eventually became the chief designer of the studio. Around this time, he deepened his relationship with Larry Selman, a world-renowned paperweight dealer, and his works have been featured in Selman's catalogs and books for paperweight collectors.
