The C59 was a tender steam locomotive for main line passenger trains, designed by the Ministry of Railways, the predecessor of Japanese National Railways, as a successor to the C53 type. There are pre-war and post-war types, and this No. 112 is a post-war type. I was attracted by the high level of completion and the sense of weight unique to the Plus brand, and I purchased it as a working model for display and appreciation, but I have decided to sell it because I have become interested in European model railways. In preparation for the sale, I had it maintained at Ginza Tenshodo. It was transported to and from the manufacturer by aircraft. It runs smoothly both forward and backward. The low-speed running at the start is also smooth. Also, I was surprised that the Tenshodo original has suspension that moves the driving wheels. (Although it is unknown for other manufacturers' steam locomotives, Tenshodo's plastic locomotives did not have a suspension mechanism.) After the maintenance, when I ran it, the motor sound was very quiet. I have also included photos taken when the operation was confirmed at Tenshodo. Included accessories: original box, instruction manual, shovel, heating hose, sound parts, head mark plate. Tracks and other items other than the vehicle are not included. I looked around and did not see any noticeable small scratches or scuffs, and I think it is in a clean condition, but it is a used item, so there may be some scratches that I have overlooked.
