This is a beautiful, unused remnant of striped Oshima Tsumugi, still with its basting threads. The fabric is lightweight and has a crisp, dry feel. It's a lovely piece with a gradient background in a yellowish-greenish-brown color, featuring a hyogoware (cracked ice) pattern, showcasing a fusion of Oshima and dyeing techniques. As it has been unpicked, there may be needle holes, loose threads, and fold wrinkles. I don't think there are any noticeable damages, but please forgive any oversight. I believe it's a relatively new item, but please consider this as a piece of deconstructed kimono. How about using it for kimono remakes, such as bags, accessories, or skirts?
