These are traditional crafts that were used as medicine containers and small item holders from the Edo period to the Meiji period. Left side: Maki-e Inro (four-tiered) & Figure Netsuke • Inro: Luxurious construction with gold maki-e and mother-of-pearl (raden) like craftsmanship on black lacquer. • Netsuke: A figure with a smiling expression is carved, giving it a charming appearance as a hanging ornament. 2.
