Of course, it's not a microwave, so it won't defrost instantly! It's designed to defrost naturally, but faster, and with less dripping. It's said to be 7 times faster than natural defrosting! Placing it on a sink or other surface that can further dissipate heat will speed up the defrosting process even more! It's also effective for cooling down food, like for bento boxes.
