This is a valuable, one-of-a-kind item, and the patterns created by the spalting are very lovely. Although it's only noticeable if you look closely, there is a crack-like area on one edge, so it has been reinforced with Titebond. (See photos 12, 13, and 14) Titebond is an adhesive that complies with food sanitation laws and is highly safe, also used for repairing tableware. It can be used without any problems even after reinforcement. It has developed a nice patina. I believe it will become even more beautiful as you use it. Recommended for those who like antiques, vintage items, and old tools. This is an item made by an artist using natural materials.
