This is a very rare and beautiful metal clarinet made around 1930. Unlike the nickel plating often found on lower-priced American models, this one is silver-plated and features luxurious engraving, suggesting it's a high-end instrument. As you can see in the photos, it has a split body, which is unusual for metal clarinets, and is equipped with a micro-tuning device, a feature exclusive to CONN saxophones. The Roberto Sioir company was founded in 1882 and appears to have been in business until 1959. Aside from a scratch on the bell, the high-quality silver plating is remarkably well-preserved, and its shine was restored with just a little polishing with a silver cloth. The mouthpiece can be used with a standard one if the cork is made a little thicker. You can also simply wrap it with blotting paper. The case is damaged, so please enjoy restoring it. Although it was overhauled at a shop a few years ago and has not been used since, the pads are clean, but have been damaged by insects. While it is playable, pad replacement is recommended.
