This is a light Dobon through-line rig that can be connected to a balanced bottom fishing rig with a single touch. In the harsh cold season of wild fishing, or when the fish are very reluctant to bite, it seems that the crucian carp may not bite when using balanced bottom fishing or external through-line rigs because the bait does not completely remain still. In such cases, a through-line rig where the hook length also settles on the bottom and the bait doesn't move even when it dissolves might be effective. How to use: Remove the hook length from your bottom fishing rig and attach the snap of the Dobon rig there. Set the hook length on the swivel. A shorter hook length (top 10cm, bottom 15cm) seems to provide better sensitivity, but longer ones are common these days. I use a longer hook length (top 10cm, bottom 50cm) when using okame (a type of bait) on the bottom hook. Also, when returning from Dobon to balanced bottom fishing, if you attach a "tonbo" (a type of line stopper) to the lower float stopper before changing to Dobon, this position will become the balance level, and you won't need to adjust the depth by returning the float to this position. Also, when changing to Dobon, you can leave the balance weight and float as they are, but you can make the bait sink slowly by increasing the float size without cutting the weight.
