The US military began providing glasses to soldiers with poor eyesight during World War I, and until 2012, they issued glasses called Standard Prescription Glasses (RPG) to soldiers who needed them upon enlistment. The actual item was manufactured by United States Safety Service Co., but it has become difficult to obtain. Also, because they are too small for Japanese people, this product is a replica of Safety Glasses actually issued by the US military before the 1970s, resized to fit Japanese people.
