I bought this about 33 years ago at a department store in Yokohama. This is, well... a truly recommended item! The material is polyester, so it's incredibly soft and flowy. It's not too thick, so you can wear it year-round. The color is purple-ish. It looks so stylish, you'd think it was made in Italy! There's no visible damage or stains! Times change, so I'd be happy if young people these days would wear these kinds of slacks again! They'd look great paired with black leather, and they'd also look good with a sweater! These are reliable, made-in-Japan men's slacks. In terms of quality, they're at the level you'd find in a vintage clothing store!
