This is a wooden mechanical pencil, 0.5mm lead diameter, customized based on a drafting pencil. The wooden shaft is handmade and attached to a modified commercially available drafting mechanical pencil. The lead diameter can also be changed to 0.3mm, 0.7mm, or 0.9mm. The material is a two-tone black persimmon. Black persimmon is a top-grade domestic wood. The jet-black color stands out against the beautiful white wood. Approximate shaft thickness: Minimum diameter: 12.5mm (where fingers rest) Maximum diameter: 15mm It has a very thick finish. The part where the fingers rest is shaped to be constricted, making it easy to grip and carefully crafted to prevent hand fatigue. The tip is a metal die-cast product for drafting pencils. The body is lightweight, but the weight of the tip creates a low center of gravity, which, combined with the finger fit, provides a very light and fatigue-free writing experience. The finish is achieved through 8 stages of polishing and coated with a penetrating inorganic glass coating. The glass coating protects the wood from dirt and moisture, and has a long-lasting effect. While having very strong waterproof and stain-resistant properties, it does not create a film on the surface due to its penetrating nature, so after complete drying, the natural feel remains without being impaired, and you can also enjoy the scent of the wood. While preserving the goodness of the wood, if used properly, it can be used for a long time with no maintenance. * Since the inside of the shaft is not coated, please do not submerge the inside in water.
