I am organizing items inherited from my grandmother, who was a master of the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony. This is a color-painted matcha bowl made by "Kato Shozan" of Kyo-yaki (Kyoto-style pottery). It features an elegant design of red-painted chrysanthemums on a crackled glaze. There are no scratches or stains from aging. Although it is a used and aged item, it doesn't feel like it has been used much.
