◎ The S series was created by MORRIS with solo guitar playability in mind, specifically for fingerstyle. ◎ This instrument is the S-101 Ver.lll, a core model of the S series, purchased in November 2011. ◎ The combination of a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back, along with a unique bracing structure, produces a sound with sufficient volume and quality for fingerstyle playing. ◎ With a scale length of 652mm and a nut width of 44mm, ease of handling for fingerstyle is considered. ◎ By adopting the R specification (round back) for the body back material, which was well-received in the handmade series, the low-frequency range has been given more depth. Furthermore, in Ver.lll, the internal structure, such as the bracing, has been further refined, resulting in a sound that spreads throughout the space. ◎ The PU system is equipped with B Band as standard. It is a high-output under-saddle active PU (A1M preamp & UST under-saddle PU). ◎ The string height is set at 2.5mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string and 1.75mm on the 1st string. ※ A "pecking sound" is produced depending on how the 1st string at the 12th fret is plucked. I played fingerpicking in the low position, so I didn't mind it.
