This distinctive vessel features a unique chrysanthemum petal-shaped form, a vibrant red exterior (Shudei), and a contrasting elegant blue and white (sometsuke) design on the interior. The exterior is shaped like a chrysanthemum reminiscent of a wild chrysanthemum, while the interior is adorned with traditional sometsuke floral patterns. Its depth makes it a versatile small bowl suitable for various dishes, including Japanese appetizers (aemono), simmered dishes (nimono), and desserts. The new retail price is approximately 8,800 yen (tax included) per piece.
