This is a G-pipe made by Keena Kobo Pino in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture. The material is wayacan (lignum vitae). After 30 years of keena making, I have recently been commissioned by professional keena players such as Mr. Ilich Montecinos and Daisuke Watanabe of MAYA. The features of this wooden keena are that the pitch is less likely to change with temperature and it has a clear tone.
