Deba knife, blade length 15.2cm, 238g. The back of the blade is about 8.6mm thick near the top of the heel. It's a Sakai Norimasa brand. Currently sold. This is a genuine kasumi (layered steel) knife made by forging soft iron and steel together. It has seen very little use and was clean, but there was some slight rust, so I lightly polished it. Most of it came off, but if you look closely, there is still a little bit of faint rust on the back, so please check the photos carefully. The plastic handle retains about 60% of its original luster. It seems like it will last for a long time. I sharpened it thoroughly, put an edge on it, and polished it. Please see my profile for detailed restoration processes.
