Joe Styles, also known for the 2009 album "BUDASTYLES Classics" (JSPCDK-1002) with Budamunky, which is now out of print, is releasing a limited edition album of 500 copies!! This work, known as "Work Ethic Mixtape," is a collection of recordings from before 2006, featuring both completed tracks and rare, unfinished rough mixes, recorded by Joe Styles at the homes of BudaMunk and Dibiase, among others. Most of the beats are by Joe Styles himself, but BudaMunk, Dibiase, N/A, Laidlaw, and Emphasis also contributed to the production. The album features appearances by Soul, his cousin who also participated in the US-only release "Melodical era" 10 years ago, OYG (Keentokers / Soul Jugglerz / Down North Camp) who released an album in Japan this February, and MCs from his crew Soul Jugglerz, including Laidlaw, the younger brother of Chali 2na. Joe Styles, an MC from Los Angeles, began his activities with Laidlaw and others in his mid-teens. In 2002, he released his solo album "Melodical Era." Later, he began working with BudaMunk and OYG as Keentokers and Soul Jugglerz. In 2009, he released the album "Budastyles Classics," recorded around 2004 with BudaMunk, from Jazzy Sport. He also participated in Green Butter's album "Get Mad Relax."
