I'm here helping to clean up my in-laws' house. This very heavy statue is a magnificent piece, a favorite of my father-in-law, who enjoyed Noh chanting for nearly 50 years and even performed on stage in a crested hakama and haori. The front and back of both sleeves feature three-dimensional depictions of magnificent phoenixes, creating an extremely graceful and elegant standing figure. My father-in-law passed away about 10 years ago. I've been hesitant about what to do with this statue until today. Considering my sons, who are engineers busy raising their children and have no interest in such things, I've decided to put it up for sale, hoping it will find a new home with someone who appreciates it.
