We used it for the traditional "first birthday rice cake" ceremony when our child turned one, and also had them wear it as an accessory for everyday outings. The denim fabric on both ends of the opening flap is slightly white (see photo 4). Two children used it. It was used infrequently. Our children have grown, and it has been stored at home.
