This is a Noh mask, "Ōtobide," made by my grandfather, who was a miyadaiku (temple carpenter) in Iwate. His works were highly regarded and were even lent out for use in temples and stage performances. The "Ōtobide" mask represents a majestic god, with its mouth open and eyes wide, as if bulging out. I am offering this for sale as I am clearing out the storage of my family's belongings. Thank you for your consideration.
