Marcinkiewicz mouthpieces are lightweight yet maintain a high-range tone, and are highly regarded by lightweight players for their balance of playability and tone. Recent players who use them include Nick Finzer. This item is a gem from the Glendale era, before production moved to Oregon. They are rare, and it is said that the craftsmanship is better than the current models. I previously owned a current model, but this one has a relatively good response and produces a so-called jazz-like sound, so I kept it. The ET4 is a model based on the NY Bach 12c, and is approximately a 7c size. It is lighter than Bach and has a softer rim, so it feels less tiring. The slightly open throat design makes it easier to handle and is suitable for the loud volumes of big bands. The plating is in good condition, with no noticeable scratches or stains.
