The backing card says "Boutons Tailleur (Tailor's Buttons)" and "FABRICATION FRANÇAISE (Made in France)" at the bottom, and it is believed to be dead stock from the time when it was sold at a haberdashery (mercerie). The age is probably from the 1930s to the 1950s. It is likely to be galalith (early plastic made from milk protein), which is often seen in buttons of that time, or early resin. It has a unique soft luster and texture. It is a simple two-hole round button with a functional and classic "tailor" design with a slightly concave center. Although it is new and unused, it is an old product, so it is listed as "like new". ●Condition● The condition is as it was after purchase. There may be scratches or marks as I have not taken care of it.
