[Rare] Hakata Do-re (Clay Bell) by Hirohide Inoue, Dazaifu, Amulet, Exorcism, Lucky Charm, Folk Toy, Traditional Craft, Folk Craft, Discontinued Hirohide Inoue learned doll making from his father, Ginsuke, a Hakata doll craftsman. After the war, he became fascinated by the charm of unglazed clay bells and became a specialized producer of clay bells around 1960. In addition to clay bells related to Fukuoka, such as the Hakata Obi Do-re, Nirinka Men Do-re, and Kiji-guruma Do-re, Mr. Hirohide created many other clay bells, including those depicting the poetry monument of Takuboku Ishikawa, wayside Jizo statues, and Dosojin (road guardian deities).
