Burleigh Burleigh is the last ceramic manufacturer in the world to use traditional copperplate printing, developed in England over 200 years ago. Copperplate printing involves printing designs engraved on copper plates onto transfer paper and applying them to the surface of the pottery by hand, one piece at a time. All Burleigh products are handmade in England, and the unevenness of the ink and the way the transfer paper is applied varies from piece to piece. This is also part of the deep flavor of Burleigh.
