This is a cup and saucer manufactured in Japan around the Taisho and early Showa periods. The bottom of the cup has a geisha watermark, and when held up to the light, the geisha's face appears clearly. It is a very thin eggshell porcelain. The pattern application is rough, but this is characteristic of items made for export during this era.
