Kuro-orimono is a weaving mill of Oshima Tsumugi in Kagoshima Prefecture, and a rare workshop that carries on the phantom "genuine indigo dyeing" to the present day. The essence of Kuro-orimono lies in the "revival of genuine indigo dyeing." The genuine indigo dyeing, revived through a collaboration with Masanori Omo, an indigo dyer and a "Contemporary Master Craftsman" certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, is a masterpiece cultivated in Japan's long history and climate. This is a highly tasteful piece woven with the orthodox shades of indigo and white contrast. This item comes with a certification tag. While mud-dyed Oshima Tsumugi is a standard item in circulation, the number of indigo-dyed kasuri Oshima Tsumugi has been decreasing in recent years.
