This is the "First Generation Elabo" fountain pen from Pilot. The unique nib shape is a soft nib, and its soft writing feel is well-suited for the strokes and flicks of Japanese writing. This is a rare, first-generation Elabo (cap-fit type, serial number stamped on the barrel, urushi lacquer on the feed), but because it's a pen from over 50 years ago, the urushi lacquer remains only slightly on the sides. It has more core strength than the FA (Falcon) nib, so it can handle a certain amount of shorthand. I am listing this for sale to release part of my collection.
