Each piece is a very atmospheric masterpiece, with beautiful seasonal designs depicting the scenes of different waka poems (picture-poems) hand-painted on them. The vividness of the gold and colored glazes, along with the fine "kannyu" (crazing) in the white porcelain, creates an elegant atmosphere characteristic of Kyoto ware. [Product Features] Design: Waka poems are added in flowing ink to designs themed around the nature and events of the four seasons. When entertaining guests, there is also the pleasure of choosing which pattern to serve. Shape: An elegant rinka (flower rim) shape with slightly raised edges. Uses: As a sweet plate for tea ceremonies As a side plate for meals, for pickles, blanched vegetables, etc. Can also be enjoyed as interior decoration.
