This is a small size kobukusa (tea cloth) used during tea ceremonies with a chabako (tea box) or chitosebon (a type of tea tray). Note: Approximately 12cm x 13cm in size. For tea ceremonies using a chabako or chitosebon, it's about two sizes (3cm around) smaller than a regular kobukusa, so it's also perfect as a coaster for matcha tea bowls, regardless of your school of tea ceremony ❤️ 【Dimensions】 With the "wa" (folded edge) on the right side: Width 13.2cm x Height 12.2cm. Made using a pattern, but please allow for slight variations. 【Sewing Method】 Traditional sewing method. The material is a fabric used for mounting hanging scrolls, made of natural materials: warp silk thread x weft cotton thread, giving it a gentle texture like Yūki-tsumugi (a type of silk fabric). "Most mounting fabrics have meibutsu-gire patterns."
