There are no stains on the hanging parts, but the center pole has some dirt. The inside of the connecting parts also has some dirt, but since it's on the inside, it shouldn't affect use. I will wipe off any dirt that can be removed before shipping. You can adjust the height to match the length of your laundry, and it folds up slim for storage when not in use. No tools are required for assembly. I have another 3-tier parasol hanger (without clothes pins), so I can combine them if you'd like. There is no outer box, so I will pack it in a recycled cardboard box. Thank you very much.
