This is a small size kobukusa (tea cloth) used during tea ceremonies, such as those with a chabako (tea box) or goshogago (imperial basket) using shikishi-date (a style of tea ceremony). Note: Size is approximately 12cm x 13cm. It is about two sizes smaller (3cm around) than a regular kobukusa, so it's perfect as a coaster for matcha tea bowls, regardless of the school of tea. ❤️ 【Dimensions】 When "wa" (the folded edge) is on the right: Width 13.2cm x Height 12.2cm. It is made with a pattern, but please allow for slight variations. 【Sewing Method】 Three sides are sewn, and the short side is "wa" (the folded edge). ❤️ Since it is new, there are no creases in the center. When folding it in half, place the "wa" on the right, choose your preferred side as the front, and fold it in half. 【Fabric】 Pure silk. The base color is light young grass green (slightly darker than kobukusa 817), with subtle shades throughout. The flower diamond pattern is woven in two types of light and shadow. It has a refreshing feel because it is plain.
