This is an Aynsley cup & saucer. Having been used by the British Royal Family, it is a very elegant and refined item. The motif, which also has a slightly Japanese feel, is very lovely. This item was displayed in my mother-in-law's cupboard. It was wrapped in cellophane, so I believe it was probably not used much. It appears to be free of scratches. However, one cup has a slightly faded gold rim. As this is believed to be a slightly older item, the shape differs from those currently sold by Aynsley.
