This fabric is a navy chambray, woven with high density in Fujiyoshida, a production area in Yamanashi Prefecture known for its fine-count yarn. The warp is off-white and the weft is navy, using fine count 100/2 yarn from GIZA. It has the silky texture unique to high-quality GIZA96, and is opaque even as a single layer. The fabric is finished with a natural wash in a traditional, time-honored process at a small factory at the foot of Mount Fuji, giving it a natural fullness and a comfortable feel.
