# Fukumaru's Nagoya Obi Collection ■ Description This Nagoya obi features a floral pattern with mother-of-pearl inlay. The front pattern is designed to be distinct for the top and bottom. Both the otaiko (back pattern) and the front pattern use mother-of-pearl, emitting a beautiful, soft luster. Fine silver threads are woven into the ground fabric, shimmering when light hits them and appearing black otherwise (photos 5, top and bottom). This creates a change in texture with slight movements, complementing the unique brilliance of the mother-of-pearl. There are yellowed stains on the reverse side, but they do not affect wearability (photo 10). Also, due to the number of photos, I omitted them, but there are small, dot-like stains on the triangular portion, but these also do not affect wearability. However, there is a yellowed stain on the part that appears in the otaiko (photos 8 and 9 show an enlarged view).
