This is a Wajima-nuri lidded bowl. As Wajima-nuri, it's a rather unusual, large piece. The depth isn't quite that of a donburi bowl, making it a challenging piece to use, requiring a skilled chef. It would be ideal for serving a substantial, signature dish at a creative kappo restaurant. There are no noticeable cracks or chips.
