This is a color uchikake (ceremonial outer kimono) by Yuzen artist [Akira Akiyama]. The color is red on top and black on the bottom. The Yuzen fabric is decorated with gold leaf, creating a beautiful design. Because it is a dyed Yuzen fabric rather than woven fabric, the fabric does not become bulky, giving it a mature impression. The undergarment, obi (sash), and accessories are not included; this is an offering of the uchikake only. The size is length 190cm, front width 26cm, back width 29cm, sleeve length 66cm, and sleeve length 102cm. The width of the back is twice the back width. The size is free, and it should fit a wide range of sizes, but the person who wore it for the main indoor shoot was about a size 15 (Japanese size), and it may be difficult to wear for those larger than that. Wedding attire in traditional Japanese style is very expensive to rent at wedding halls. It can be difficult to prepare everything for a traditional Japanese wedding, but if you rent a complete set of shiromuku (white wedding kimono) and bring your own color uchikake, you can change the color uchikake for an oironaoshi (costume change), which will save you a lot of money.
